donkeymagic
I was reading an article today, cant remember where but if i find it ill post it, was suggesting that the The U.K. Wild Boar population is very much on the rise. Apparently there are quite a few of them nocking about in Suffolk, Kent, Essex and that sort of area. Also a good population in Dorset apparently Ill be honest, if i was out lamping in the woods and i bumped into one of them things then i probably make a swift exit! Anybody ever seen one when theyve been out and about?
Devilishdave
Never seen one in the UK but I have seen some big old bores out in Germany when I have been out Running. I tend to turn and keep going the other way when I come accross em. They should soon flurish, they tend to have litters of about 10. Ud be better off trying to wrestle it
Devilishdave
Honestly once you have come face to tusk with one of these bad boys at close range without a weapon wrestling the bug@er is the last thing on your mind. A big bore would be 30 - 32 stone!!! :*) Dave http://www.britishwildboar.org.uk/

Christ, thats as heavy as me. I'd just have to apply a few Cumberland and Westmoreland wrestling moves on it Scott
Devilishdave
That would be about right for the size of a fully grown femail but beleive me the bores can grow to be monsters. I have been face to face on more than one ocasion and I am not of a Nervous disposition!! Maybe it is some sort of Dwarf or Pigmy strain we have! ChrisNicholls
Check out the general discussion forum on www.guntrader.co.uk about wild boar in England, you might change your mind about meeting one
millo2
On a different note, I have tried wild boar and it was delicious. Got it from that guy from Kendal who goes to all the game fairs. He was on Jimmy's farm too if you watched that
