iv been looking at the mossberg silenced .410 thinking of getting it as i shoot a golf course near some houses just wanted to know if anybody has used one and are they as quiet as iv been told

Yes get one, I use one on golf courses, around the farm yard etc, they work a treat

I use a single barrel moderated .410 and with Eley Fourlongs it really is on par with an air rifle.

My Pedretti Hushpower is like a loud click with Fourlongs. Much louder with 3in cartridges though. Shot quite a bit in a garden and the folks indoors never heard anything. You can pick up a moderated s/b for about half the price of the Mossberg.Depends how many shots you need though.The Pedretti goes in a normal length gunslip unlike the others.There are a couple of bolt action .410s about too. Someone off here bought a French one in recent months ( Breton Phantom? ).
