jingzy
Winchester 101 XTR Lightweight 12B O/U with chokes choke key and original presentation case. £525 o.n.o http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0144.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0138.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0139.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0140.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0141.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0142.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0143.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0145.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o233/Ji...un/IMG_0146.jpg Wood - you can see the pictures, I would say a 7.5/10, nothing major. What looks like a large scratch on the top of the butt is actually where the varnish has rubbed off, probably against a jacket. Metal - The photos actually show the marks more than the eye does. Clean barrels and no pitting. Engraving of a pair of partridges on the left, a woodcock underneath and a pheasant on the right. Weight - 7.5 Lbs Pull - 14.25" Barrels - 27" 3" chambers The action is tight, the ejectors work well, it has been used but this is a quality gun. Chokes - Skeet x 1, Imp Mod x 1, Imp Cyl x 2, Mod x 2, Full x 1 Edited December 23, 2008 by jingzy

jingzy
Yes Holloway, I did notice this. There are a few interested, but I dont know if they know the real value of these guns at the moment. They are turning into collectors items . Perhaps I should hold onto it or even go to a dealers, then let them have a tidy profit. J
peter-peter
winchester trap to sporter stock conversion the finished job. Ive just bought a 101 fixed choke from bamfords chorley about 28 years old as good as new. it it was sporterised trap gun and had a monte carlo stock with level comb but a sporting rib choked at 1/4 3/8 it was choked for sporting but the stock was a trap stock. and as such shot high. I needed to lower the comb. SO. I have removed the top of the monty stock to make a sloping comb. taking 1/2 at the butt end to o at the front of the comb. i have matched the colour of the new exposed wood to the existing oiled walnut using a tea bag, walnut stain, and walnut oil, it requires a further 4 coats of oil to complete but as you can see the colour match is very close. and now I have a cracking sporter. for only £475. and a bit of work. look at the top lock and you will see a very tight gun lever set to right when locked up. bootifull Edited December 24, 2008 by peter-peter
