reedbradshaw
Hi...... Sorry i keep on about it, its a right laugh. Where would be the best place to fit the studs ? the obvious place would be the stock and the forearm....but witht the forearm being pumped and moved about.....im not sure its the best place. Is there anyway to attach the sling to the barrel ? Any help appreciated. Reed
neil smith
Easy........... Buy this http://www.productwizard.com/unclemikes-wi...-1200-1300.html This is the only barrel mounted sling attachement I know of... http://www.tacticalshotgunaccessories.com/...arrelclamps.htm If you fit a magazine extension there are several that incorporate a supporting clamp Part number 159-104-100 at the bottom of this page... http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/Pro...INE%20EXTENSION Or for the operators out there GG&G may be what your after.... http://www.gggaz.com/index.php?cat=61&parents=60 N Edited December 22, 2008 by neil smith
Ozzy Fudd
most pumps have a screw hole to attach the sling to the end of the mag tube. DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT!! fit itto the forend, that would be a fuccup and no mistake
reedbradshaw
Thanks Neil & Babby, My gun doesnt have a screw attachment in the end...so it looks like the a barrel clamp or the different mag tube cap from the above links. Ill have a look in my local gun shops. If not i may take the end of my magazine cap to an engineering company for them to "tap" a screw link into it... could anyone do this on here at cost in the new years ? Ozzy Fudd
shouldve said, my mossberg had a sling swivel on the stock, but none on the mag tube; i had a small loop of black elastic material (the stuff you hold laser pressure switches on with)and looped that over the end, does thejob for me

buchangun
I fitted a standard sling swivel stud into the but and got a treaded stud from my local gun shop for a couple of quid - drilled a small hole though the magazine tube screw cap and bolted it through . works great and gives that autentic red neck look to my rem auto with realtree plastics! it also makes it a lot easier to cary what is a seriously heavy gun for a long day. I,m not convinced I would fit a sling to a nice double barrel but a semi or pump action is all about function and not at all tweed and shooting sticks!
