sandmanemma
Hi guys and girls, could anyone please answer the following question-is it possible to convert a right handed thumbhole stock to accomodate a left handed shooter with a little tinkering? casts_by_fly
sandman, Yes and no. Yes you can do it, but it won't look right. the main difference between left and right hand cuts for a stock (for most actions) is the bolt cutout (and safety depending on the model). If you did cut a new bolt slot, you'll have two slots which will be ugly. Thanks Rick

Its more if i can alter the thumb hole to accomodate my left handed shooting? I know your probably asking 'why buy a right handed stock when you shoot left handed' Well the truth is the rifle was too good an opportunity to miss and i thought the conversion would be fairly straight forward! If it becomes too problematic i shall have to sell the stock which is in absolute mint condition and buy myself a left handed version. Many thanks Rob
sandmanemma
Find out if they will ship you one first, they told me last week they can no longer ship stocks with a value over 100 dollars.........................so none of them then. Thanks for that info. if you dont mind me asking Who have you been speaking to in the states regarding stocks? I have had a few bits imported before with no problems, i just hope it dont change!!
