  1. The Sak is the best value for money for me. I’ve used mine in the 17 and it is perfect for a light gun. Mine is also for sale incidentally as we are moving but I’d recommend it regardless. rick
  2. Hi All, Due to our impending move, I need to sell my Jeep. I thought I would come to PW first as it is my shooting vehicle and will be perfect for someone else to do the same. Summary details: 2003 (53 plate) Jeep Cherokee Extreme Sport 3.7L Petrol engine, automatic transmission 5 seater ~73k miles (my friends are driving it this week and next so it should still be under 73k when they are done) part leather interior, aftermarket radio with hands free Bluetooth (original radio with 6-disc changer will be included so you have it) I'll include the Cabela's seat covers that I have used on it but aren't currently in place (nor in the pics) as well as the heavy duty rubber floor mats If you have a dog, I'll include the Saunders dog guard I've been using in it as well since I don't have a car that needs it MOT until Feb 2020 (get you through shooting season!) £1500 I've had it for the past 7-8 years and it has been my second vehicle, used for going shooting or fishing primarily. In that time I've only put ~20k miles on it. It has ~73k on it now (4500 per year average) so very low. It has been great to me and perfectly reliable with no major issues. It has a full 4x4 low lock range which is great if you are trekking through fields and woods. It doesn't have a tow hitch so the transmission has never been abused with horse boxes or other. Overall it is in great mechanical shape and good aesthetic shape. The interior is very good. The exterior is good, but there are two bits to call out. First is the scrape on the rear passenger side bumper which has been there since I bought it (well, I did it 2 days later). The other is the passenger wing mirror which has a broken gear inside and it can move (hence the black tape). Those aside, it is pretty clean and will be a great shooting bus for someone. I wouldn't sell it if we weren't moving. Pictures attached. PM me if interested. Located in Horsley, Surrey. It will be available after 27 August when our friends leave. Any questions, please just ask. thanks rick
  3. In case any of you are interested, I’ve just listed my SLK for sale. rick
  4. Hi all, Due to our upcoming move, I am selling both of our cars. First up is my 2012 Mercedes SLK 200. This is my daily driver and I love it. I wouldn’t be selling it if we weren’t moving out of the country. I bought it just over 3 years ago and am the second owner. I bought it with 23k miles and it is sitting around 73k at the moment (I drive it daily so it changes). It is a very high spec model (full details below) and has been fully serviced on schedule either with mercedes or a merc specialist. Overall it is in perfect mechanical shape and very good aesthetic shape. There are a few scuffs on the rear bumper corners (shown in the pictures) but nothing major. There are also some aftermarket upgrades that make the car even more user friendly as a daily car. Lower spec’d cars are selling for £12k+. Mine is listed at £11000 for a quick sale full spec: 2012 Mercedes SLK 200 in obsidian black 1.8L turbocharged petrol ~72000 miles, 50k of which are mine and 45k of those are on the motorway Full service history with either MB or a Mercedes specialist 2 owners total MB options include heated leather seats, air scarf neck heater, panoramic roof, rear parking sensors, and AMG body kit including upgraded 18” wheels. Additional options include Smartop remote roof chip (controls top and windows from key fob), aftermarket behind seat speaker, Windrestrictor brand air deflector, and custom ECU tune Based in Horsley, Surrey and work in Slough. PM here if interested. Listed elsewhere. Available in 2 weeks, but possibly sooner if that makes the difference to you. Thanks, rick
  5. Running down on time so open to offers. I don’t want to have to chop this in at a dealer. Thanks rick
  6. Running down on time so open to offers. I don’t want to have to chop this in at a dealer. Thanks rick
  7. This is my gun so PM here if interested. rick
  8. Hi all, I have a about a half tub from loading my 17 that I can’t move with me when we move home. £10 for whoever comes to get it. If you want an exact weight contained I can do that. It is about 10 years old and always stored cool and dry. Pm me if you want it. I’m surrey based and travel to slough for work. Thanks rick
  9. Hi all black used SAK moderator in 1/2” unf on FAC for sale. Had it about ten years and in good shape. Works like brand new. If you pick it up at my house I’ll throw in a free Parker Hale (I think) non fac with the same specs to save me the trouble of dropping it at the gun shop face to face only, somewhere in the Surrey/berks area (I’m near Cobham and work in slough). £15 PM if interested rick
  10. That’s your answer if you’re in Donny. Prices are cheap and they have plenty of space. rick
  11. George, am am I reading that correctly- you had h&s build and sell you three rifles which you then brought back here? How long ago was that? thanks, for ick
  12. Did they provide you a written, official refusal with those reasons or was that a phone conversation?
  13. A lever would be fine, but if you are seriously considering it then look into the single shot options. Great break gun cartridge. Rick
  14. The 44 mag should do it in a rifle. The 440 marlin would definitely do it. Probably some others as well. Rick
  15. That’s what the water i saw looked like. A bit of slack pools but mostly freestone tumbling streams. Thanks rick
  16. When you have the ubiquitous 308 available in every shop which is a superior cartridge in every way to the 30-30, the 30-30 will be relegated to a niche cartridge for someone who that wants something different. I’d liken it to a 221 fireball vs 222/223. It exists here and is good for what it is but it will never have a large following even if it is a great cartridge. Rick
  17. I’ve considered it but I’m also itching for an SL upgrade. I love my car but the slightly bigger SL would be nice. I don’t thrash mine around (either too many people on the road or no good roads here) so haven’t felt the need for a suspension upgrade. If I had to replace any of it for wear I would definitely be there though. Rick
  18. I’ve got a 12 plate (new body style) 200. Mine has been remapped up over 240 bhp and it is a fantastic car. It is my daily driver and my weekend fun car all rolled into one. With a couple mods it is a fantastic car. For me, Smartop, a good wind deflector, the remap, and an under seat subwoofer have transformed the car from good and fun to great and a blast. The MOT flew through just today and with 70k on the clock there isn’t a single issue that it has had. I’ve put tires on it twice, haven’t yet changed the brakes, gone through a couple head lamp bulbs (I drive with them ‘on’ all the time) and that’s it. If you you want to get a little crazy the amg 43 and 55 are a bit wild. I drove the 43 2 weeks ago for a couple hours and it is very rapid. thanks, rick
  19. Hi gents, Im heading to the hills near Florence in August for two weeks with friends. Since we are driving I can take along whatever gear I want and was thinking about the fly rod. I was just in the area for work last week and the Tiber was looking interesting. I found out that stretch of river is open fishing (just rod license) and that got me wondering if there was anything else in the area. Anyone done it and willing to share tips? PM is fine if you don’t want to put it on an open forum. rick
  20. What they said. If you find a great deal on one or more components then it can come down but standard retail is in the 30-35p region. That said, just do it- well worth ir in the 17. rick
  21. Hi ben, this is the shoot that I was on when I lived up there. Remember the fiber wad big steel loads? All shot there. Rick
  22. CENS electronics but I don’t know which. I got the about 6 years ago. Batteries are energizer. rick
  23. I would get a couple weekends from mine. Usually 2-3 months before they start beeping with a low battery. And batteries are cheap on amazon. Rick
