sniper316
Hiya everyone,i was charging my Logun Domin8or up tonight with my stirrup pump while chatting to my bruv(not a shooter),ready for a session lamping.I nipped to the loo and my bruv said"i'll finish that".When i came back down he had finished and had removed the quick fill adapter without bleeding it first :< .Now there is a hissing at the fill hole and the bottle is losing pressure and the yellow O ring round the end of the adapter is split in half.I have spare O rings but does anyone out there know what the problem may be with the bottle and how i can possibly remedy it? Moral:Never let a poxy dips#*t touch your stuff,no matter how clever he thinks it is!!!!
zebedee71
Firstly i would try replacing the o-ring and reconnect the charging gear. Try refilling again and follow the steps propperly this time by releasing the grub screw first. He MAY have over filled it and burst a seal. If that fails to sort it LET THE PRESSURE drop in the bottle till empty and take a closer look at the bottle neck to see if there is any apparent damage (he may have paniced and dropped it on the valve) if you can't find anything wrong with it i would personally take it to the shop and play dumb. Tell them you just filled it up to normal working pressure and the problem started. If it is still under warrenty you should get it sorted just argue the toss that you did nothing you ought not to have. Hope you manage to get sorted there's nothing worse than having the quarry but no rifle to hunt it with. Zeb
sniper316
Its not a removable bottle(although you can remove it,you don't have to to fill it),its the push in,quick fill type, like the Webley Raider
zebedee71
Try the refilling part first then if No cigar i would still take it back and play dumb. You have nothing to lose you will either get it sorted FOC or you will have to pay either way you will be back in the saddle so to speak. Still sounds like a blown seal to me Zeb
sniper316
Sorted, got up this morning and took my rifle to work(on a farm).Got the rifle out and it was totally empty so i refilled it and abracadabra......no leak .I can only think that there must have been a bit of dust,or maybe a bit of the adapter seal trapped in the valve. My only concern now is that the bit of whatever it was is now in my air cylinder, but i'll cross that bridge when i come to it. hill billy
i Used to have this problem but i blow my gun up using a diving bottle, i don't know what it was but it used to do it a couple of times a year what i found was to just fire one shot off and then blow the gun up again then it used to stop hope this helps thanks jason
zebedee71
It may be a fault with a poorly finished port all it would take is a bit of burr or swafe to get trapped and not allow the seals to close. Am glad you are sorted anyway Zeb
