My Springer

Had her lady bits done last summer. And everything has been fine she has heal real fast .

And has had good working season this last year.

Now she only ever can into season once the year. And the only reason we had her done was because with each one she would go though a phantom.

Now her seasons always fall around about this time of year .And since she has been done she has not shown any interest in my male dog.

Nor has my male dog shown interest in her.

Well that was till last week.

Since last week the two of them at every chance they get are at it.

Its even got so bad its starting to put ideas into sweepys head

Now Mitzy has never had much of the sex drive (abit like myself.)

But at the moment she is really up for it (unlike myself)

So this has got me thinking .

Even though she has been done. Could she still be giving off some scent that attracts male dogs to her .Around this time she should have been in heat.

Its not just my male dog that has notice it .

She went on the shoot last sat .

And was done good and proper by the lab.

Has anyone else notice this strange behaviour with their Bitches.

Or have i got a doggy equivalent to a good old Essex girl.

xxxSuzy

We have even notice her bits are a little bit swollen. But then again thats not surprising with all the action they have seen in the past week. :D

Suzy,

I had the very same problem with a lurcher I had spayed. When she came into season after being spayed I complained to the vet. He told me that even if a piece of her uteris the size of a pin head is left inside her she can still come into season, and stand for a dog. Well that part was true as she stood for my terrier.

The problem was the vet would not accept liability, however, he did offer to do the operation again but did warn that it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack and could not gaurentee the the op would be a success. As I could not afford to sue him the b@st@rd got away with it.
