RC45
Any idea how much it would cost to get someone like piers morgan to promote the sport, I for one would join if I thought someone like Mr Morgan was promoting our sport. Tommo
What method have the clubs used to perform this process up till now? Surveyors backed by Solicitors ? Can anyone tell me (as i'm not affiliated in anyway to any fowling clubs) - Tom
David BASC
The idea is to save clubs, syndicates et al who are affiliated ot BASC money when they need the professional services of a CS to negotiate leases, land purchases, grants, etc. This service will be free ot BASC members / groups. Tommo
David, When this guy gets started and the word really does get about, he is in for a very busy time! You'll be thinking in a couple of months why didn't we do this before! Then you'll be thinking - wish we had more money in the budget for another to take some pressure off the newbie! Working in property myself i can honestly say training to become a GS should of been my priority! not a Marketing and Law Degree!! I'm on the phone to the surveyors l use at least 5-8 hours a week, they are a source of information, second opinion on ideas and not to mention the best back-up when it comes to dealing with a tricky landlord. Sounds to me like a dam good idea all round. He's got his work cut out though as any oney saved will be greatly recieved in the current economic climate! David BASC
Yep, the guy will be rushed off his feet- he is already getting stuck into some grant funding work for some clubs, lease renewals, and goodness knows what else. I don't think that Piers Morgan, who endangered the lives of British troops by publishing the fake pictures in the Mirror on 1 May 04 appearing to show British troops torturing an Iraqi detainee is an appropriate person to promote anything. Disgraceful person, IMHO.
