Millomite
How has everyone faired this year with holding their birds? We've had our best season for years with a 44% return, shooting 241 from 550. Interestingly 61% were hens, anyone else find they shoot more hens? Total shots for the year was 1153 for 274 total head. 241 Pheasant 15 Duck 7 Woodcock 6 Snipe 1 Woodpigeon 1 Squirrel 3 Collared Doves
jef
55 pheasants for 200 released. Poor return but similar to neighbouring shoots this year. I started counting shots but found the clicker kept going off in my pocket. 9 times out of 10 though we usually average 5 shots per bird killed. Good or bad I don't know but on the three or four shoots I'm at throughout the season it's never far off this figure. Your figure seems about the same.
