Everhopefull
I'm presently using A Max 52g heads for my Howa (1:12 twist), they are costing about £20.50p per 100. Can any one suggest another head under 55g for range target shooting which they have found to be accurate and are cheaper than the A Max I am using? Rem223
I used to use Speer 52gr heads at an MOD range, but whether or not they would be classed as expanding I couldn't say. No one complained at the time. They were hollowpoints. It was a couple of years back when I bought them and they were £12 for a 100 from Wilson & Wilson in Ramsgate. Seemed pretty accurate. I expect the price has risen somewhat since then! BTW primers and powder are probably worth stocking up on as there seems to be quite a shortage in the US now. Once supplies run low in the UK I expect there will be a significant increase in price if and when they get new stock.
