air arms s310 help, serviceing etc?

I would always in this case send it back to the OEM, accompanied, if required and if still under warranty by a snotogram complaining how they were recommended to you as a reliable airgun for hunting with and how this one has obviously slipped Quality Control.

If bought through a gunsmiths then take it back to them and speak to them about it. It can then be sent back to AA at the gunsmiths expense, for having sold you it in the first place.

This about the first I have heard of an underperforming Air Arms.

If however you have bought second hand then all you can do is point out how it underperforms, get it serviced, explaining that you will chrono it when it gets back and if not at the right level then you will keep sending it back until they do something about it.

I'm not sure about having the tune up done locally, but as with all air powered equipment whether it be guns or scuba the OEM's advice should be sought. If the gunsmith tries something without authorisation from the OEM then any warranty could be voided.

regards and best o luck matey

To Bring the previous responder up to date .The S310 is a very old model from Air Arms and I'm not surprised its need of a service :good:

I returned my S410 XTRA FAC back to air arms via a firearms dealer for a full service and seal change a few years ago .Cost £85 including P&P and I could,nt fault the service :D

LOL was going to say same thing but add the poster obviously know's nothing but has give sound advice.

To original poster,

Basicly a s410 and I think the hammer spring as worn out or may be some thing simple like transfer port o'ring gone.

Like one of the poster's stated If you bought from a shop you are intitled to take it back and get it fixed at there cost.

I recommend you google up www.aaownersclub.co.uk I think it is that and have a look but I'm sure there strict on no messing with power.

or google how to turn up power on air arms s310 or 410 "both virtually the same gun".

Your rifle is pre anti tamper so you can work on it if you are confident and If you are I would order a o'ring kit and rear hammer spring which will probably cost around 10 pound and a saving of 70 odd If you can do it your self.

shame you are not local as I could do this no problem.

go on to aaowner or chamber's and have a look for a exploded diagram and see If you feel comfortable with doing it your self.

If not it is a trip to aa or a gunshop,I will say now it is cheaper you just post it to aa your self but I highly recommend you have a look at doing this your self as they are not as complicated as they seem.
