shoot57
can anybody give their opinions on the centrepoint range , the scopes seem to have a high spec for a modest price.....anybody use one...
Baldrick
I had a look through the Centrepoint scope that Bionicle brought round, when he bought a rifle off me a few weeks ago. It was impressive for the money - clear optics and not too 'tactical'. I am not a fan of mildot reticle though, as it's too fine for my own needs. shoot57
thanks for that baldrick, i agree with you about milldot rets, i was looking for a scope with tactical turrets to try on my hmr. might seem strange on this cal but after 120yds you get quite a lot of drop and will be interesting to work up a chart just to see what the rifle will do,the thing is every tactical scope i look at seems to have every type of reticule(none of which i like) but the one i like which is a simple duplex. never heard of centrepoint before are they a relatively new manufacturer? Tobyb525
I use one on my s400 and its great! Plus it only cost me $80 (£40) in wallmart! Its a 3.5-16X42 with light up rectical. Not bad for that sort of money! Toby
Suffolk shooter
I have the CP312RGC model in 3-12x44 with Ballastic turrets sat on my .22lr Remington 597. Have to say the optics are good for the price and light gathering in low light conditions is great. Comes with IR in Red and Green, additional sun shade included, flip up lids (Although these are stiff when you first get them, but do loosen slightly for easier use eventually). The eye relief is spot on at 3.4 inches for me, and the Mil-dot reticule took some getting used to as it is the first scope I have had with them on, but does what it says on the tin for a fraction of the cost of some other "brand" name scopes. I wish I had been able to get mine from Walmarts for £40, but still got it for £135 Baldrick, what rifle was Bionicle going to be putting his on? I'm wondering if they're sturdy enough to go on a .243 SS
