tazkb
Huge thankyou to Steve for the days shooting, we didn't get back in time for a meet up as we where concentrating on shooting until the light left us not that that was much help mind, anyway it was a nice day out and we ejoyed the day all the same, there where pigeons about and we tried various methods which to be honest did see some birds commiting but alas they where few and far between, we could have done with another 4 or 5 guns really. heres hoping we get another chance at them some time soon, thanks again and atvb Steve Keith and Scott

webber
Tazkb You had plenty of shots, I've never heard a semi get 3 shots away so fast. We got the impression that you were well stuck in. How many did you manage. webber
tazkb
well Steve i'm suffering today mate said i would, i feel like i have been hit by a train...............twice however your a really nice chap mate and you have some really good shooting around there mate it's a shame we couldn't get a few more interested, as for the shooting itself well rape can be notoriously difficult to shoot ever at the best of time, i opened a few crops up after we shot the birds and was supprised at the lack of food in their crops, it was rape but very little mate
tazkb
ohh we didn't fair very well mate we finished with 7 between us the shot's you heard where more frustration than owt else :look: i fired 37 shots for 3 birds we had a good few that where too high and i fired a few shots just to move some birds that insisted on dropping into the wood behind us, the wood facing us, just below you lot was another settling spot for them as well. I was totally knackered by 1pm but as usuall i managed to haul myself through the rest of the day. I did really enjoy being out as i allways do, being disabled is no fun so getting out and spending time with friends doing what i love the most is a real boost to my mind as for the semi it's a Benelli M2 and is my all time fav gun, I just love the damn thing, however i wasn't impressed with the cartridges we got (all the shop had left) which where eley hi flyer No:5 32g fibre urghhhh ****. I don't think anyone had a red letter day yesterday but who cares when your out in such a lovley part of countryside ehh
webber
If the event ever gets repeated I've fixed up to borrow my mates cottage which is located in Pickering about 10 miles away. This opens up all kinds of possibilities. webber
