MerseaDavid
It is probably rabit damage if there is no pigeons in the area.
Billy.
Wait for a few weeks until the plant starts growing again. The main bit of the plant will start growing and if the pigeons get hold of that, it'll not grow into a plant. It could also be that the area you have to shoot has been over shot. Do remember it's a difficult time of the year to shoot pigeons
MerseaDavid
The pigeons could well have moved on to some spring drillings or on to some clover fields (grass). I did noticed there was a nice flightline going into a small group of trees and I shot one bird and it was packed full of berries.
saunders.shoots
there does seem to be loads in the trees and plenty on the grass fields. i think the rabbit idea is right because when i was there last i saw a few
MerseaDavid
You would be better off trying to get rid of the rabbit because that will please the farmer alot. But the pigeons will keep hitting the rabit damaged spots because they are always kept low.
