shore_shot Posted March 1, 2005 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 i have a great plummer bitch who is now 15 month,s and has had quite a lot of work (rat and fox) she has had 2 seasons so far ,now my problem is that the dog i want to mate her with is now getting quite old is my bitch too young to have pups ? it's not that i'm in a rush for her to have pups it's that i want her to go to a plummer dog. all advice would be greatfully received shore_shot Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
new to the flock Posted March 1, 2005 Report Share Posted March 1, 2005 Your dog is of breeding age, and if yo are doing a natural breeding than yo want to stand her to the stud on the 13th and 14th days of her cycle. If the male you are using is 8 years or older do yourself a favour and have him into the vets for a sperm count, they will tell you if it is worth proceeding.
