Upland chest protectors work well for barbwire and puncturing sticks........I had two dogs impale themselves on sharp sticks hunting pheasants.......they are designed to cover the chest and under side of the ribs, well keeping the dogs cool. look here http://www.flushandpoint.com/products.asp?id=16
  12. I dont trap otters but I have seen a really neat submerged bucket set. will see if I can find the fur management issue it is in if you are interested. NTTF
  13. You could get the dog a bramble vest. I use to use them on my pointers. NTTF
  14. I think I may still have a couple of old McCullock saws under the bench in the garage at the farm. I will have a look tommorrow and see. NTTF
  15. I miss cod fishing and ferreting and shooting at pigeons . Lovely photos, and very nice fish. NTTF
  16. rjimmer, For mink I usually use a shellfish oil or a fish oil both made in a large glass pickle jar with a piece of glass over and left to sun bake. NTTF

  19. Well after a round trip of close to 4800 miles Trix is back home with the new puppy. Well Trix is home the puppy will live with her Mother. Did not have my camera with me.....as it was in the truck .......so will get a couple of pictures tommorrow. Now I just have to try to remember how to do this training thing NTTF
  20. I figure I should be able to go back into the shed in about a weeks time, as long as the windows stay open

  22. Old Farrier, I have been away for a while, so this is the first time I have seen this thread. All I can say is BRILLIANT! What an absolute beauty you and the lads have created.   24. Sent Trix yesterday on an 10 hour plane flight, an additional 6 hour drive, crossing an international boarder, for a total of 2400 miles one way, to pick up a new pup of working lines . He should be back home on Tuesday this week. NTTF
