Came home from work this evening to find that we had "volunteered" to temporarily house a rescue Staffie, a bitch of around 2/3 yrs old at a guess which has thrown a litter or two and who bares some nasty scars across her flanks from what we are told from a chain. Now this dog has had one **** start in life and would be excused if it had a few issues and as yet it has shown none, only a craving to please and seeking a "fuss". It has settled and socialised with my four mutts very well and all early signs are promising.

It amazes me how a dog that has suffered some terrible abuse can still be so pleasant to mankind.
