Teal Posted March 2, 2005 Report Share Posted March 2, 2005 I went out lamping with pete evans from PW tonight, having never been lamping with a lurcher before I have to say I really loved it, despite probably making far to much noise and at one point my mobile phone beeped (some bloody townie I am), we managed to catch 2 rabbits with his lurcher gypsie. Obviously I'm not an expert but I thought that she did really well to get them, the rabbits on the whole seemed a bit jumpy, but the conditions were quite good, there was a fox around which may not have helped the rabbits. We also saw a very large polecat or perhaps ferret polecat cross, it was having none of us and soon scarpered. Really enjoyed it- it's made me want to get a long dog now . Cheers again pete, will try and see if i can get this permission I have near high wycombe expanded to ferret/run a dog I talked about if you're interested.
