ferretmanabu
A few times I've been out, I noticed that there are tons of pigeons for the first 2 or 3 hours after sunrise and then at about 11-12 o clock, they just disappear. Is this normal?
pete k
yes very normal unless the days are short then they will feed most of the day pete
Staffs-Shooter
its a rule on our ground that the pigeon union have all the birds have two hours off between 12&2. No seriously it does seem to go quite during these hours on the stubbles.
digger
went out today and they had lunch from about an hour after i set up til i packed it in the longer the day the longer the "lunchtime lull". agree with pete, they feed then roost to digest the food eaten in the morning before feeding again.in the depth of winter they will feed all day,in the middle of summer the lunchbreak lasts longer.
