Hezbear
You can get them on rabbits now if you want with their mother, rats about 7 months old when there adult teeth are in and fox anywhere from 12 - 18 months, just don't over match them on any quarry as it will ruin them

Salop Matt
So how do you guys use your JRT`s when out on the rabbits ? We have a cairn who loves to come shooting and isnt scared of the gun and loves to retreive. We also have a 6 month old JRT who shows no sign of being gun shy and it would be great to get him involved with shooting / hunting to ! But i would never do ground work / digging with either of them.
Highlander
Depends on the dog...I have 2 born on the same day, mothers were sisters. One did his first season this just gone at 18/22 months but his kennel mate hasn't even started getting the hang of things yet and is still in puppy mode. Mind you he wants to buck his ideas up or he's gonna be someones pet before too long. Either that or canned!
