a2oth
Hi Guys. This is my 682x Trap. I want to fit something like a HIVIS pip to it as this is 23 years old and is getting a bit manky. Thing is, I dont want to break it off but is doesn’t seem to unscrew like the modern ones. Anyone know if this is molded in or will come out? Have no idea why it came out twice. Edited March 12, 2009 by a2oth
Gordon R
They are made like an oval on its' side. They slot into the rib - not screwed in. The only way is to pull them out. They usually break and then pick out the remains. I used araldite to glue a fluorescent tube type sight onto the rib.
a2oth
Depressing but not unexpected news. Thanks for confirming my worst fears Gordon R, At least I know now.
Gordon R
You could always put a Truglow or Ruby sight straight behind it and leave it in place.
