MM
i need help on what air rifle to buy , i will be spendind £400-£500 ,thinking of joining my local gun club, will also be used for the wabbits on local farmers land, thanks for any advice i just want to say thanks for the replies, and after looking on google has the s410 got a ajustable power setting on it , as i was also thinking about applying for the f/a/c, once i buy a rifle, so if it has it would be better, if you are thinking about buying an air rifle, why do you need your FAC? have you land to shoot on? what are you shoting? If you are doing target work, you have no need for an FAC rifle. the 410 is a good gun
craigshot1
hi, i will be asking local land owners for permission to hunt on there land ,i am also going to join my local air rifle club for some target practice. i was told that you cant go over 12lb pressure with a u/k air rifle, because it would be breaking the law, i thought after a while i could apply for an fac and up the power for hunting, i thought that it would be the legal way to go thanks for any advice,
MM
hunting at 12lbs takes a good level of field craft. if you combine the two, you will be able to use an "off the shelf" air rifle to do this. dont be lulled into thinking that an FAC air rifle is the easy way to topping your quary, you need to learn tha basics first. craigshot1
hi, thanks for the advice, i will stick with the off the shelf rifles ,and forget about the fac for the time being, do you have any idea how much a used s410 will be, and what are the best places to keep an eye out for one, apart from pricy shops, thanks Edited March 19, 2009 by craigshot1
