varmintator
Wilkinson are doing poles made from solid plastic with a metal pointed stake at the bottom they are very lightweight can be cut to whatever size you want and are £2.99 Think they are used to grow things up , but they are perfect. Better than paying £40 pounds for 4.
Stamford
Good find mate, was looking for hide poles aswell
Lancs Lad
Gents, you will find out that they are heavy. If you are just starting out then go down this route. We all have done it.................I even still have some... Once you start carting all of your gear around, you will then find that hide poles take up a fair bit of weight. You will then find as you already have, other hide poles, light weight with kick plates and other "twist lock" type functions. You will then get to upgrading your gear, nets and poles will be the first thing you change. Readily availabe from "various web sites".................there you go mods.. varmintator
The hide poles I bought from Wilkinson are very light much lighter than the £40 pound hide poles. If you want to sPEND £40 GO AHEAD WOULD RATHER SPEND £11.96 and get better poles. Check them out Edited March 22, 2009 by varmintator

yermaun
When youcant adjust your poles to suit different situations you will know were you went wrong. I use 8 poles for endless situations blinds for Roe,squirrel, duck, daytime foxs, pigeon decoying, photographing wildlife etc etc. Telescopic poles suit for kneeling, sitting and standing. Break out and buy decent kit and you will never regret it.
harpoonlouis
Just in case anyone else goes looking for Wilkos Wonder poles. I found three sorts in the store. In the household there are green telescopics with a hook/loop on the ends at 2.99, no spike on the bottom In the gardening section there are green telescopic with hooks/loops on top and part way down with a flat spike on the bottom, two lenghts at 1.99 and 2.99 They also have a plastic coated steel pole about 5 and a half foot long with a point on the end, bit like a fake bamboo garden cane. About 1.25? I picked up the houshold before I spotted the betted garden section ones with the spike.
