A Day on the beans

This is the proceeds of our day on newly drilled beans in warwickshire.

Set up about 8.30am and had shot 128 by 15.30pm and then spent over an hour picking up and carting them well over 100yards back to the jeep.

(12 of them are in a seat bag ready for Sunday & Monday.)

Knackering or what??

Hi Wanderer.

We started off with a y pattern of 16 plastic deeks ; 10 of them on bouncing spring sticks (great for movement) and a magnet to the left of the left leg.

Then, when we started shooting heavily, swopped the pattern to a double leg horseshoe.

Alternating the dogs to retrieve the shot birds and then substituting the plastic deeks with "real" birds.

We used 6 x 32 gram eley cartridges and approximately 150- 160 shots, and 9 double deckers between us.
