Good lamp for rabbits

Hi all,

Just wondered what your thoughts were on a good lamp for bunnies.

I'm looking at the Deben range of lamps, mainly the Atom Pro 100m and Max Pro 400m. Both around the £110 mark.

Want a dimmer and the ability to add a red filter. I think the longer range Deben may be better as i've seen that the filter cuts down the distance of the beam.

Good battery life will be a plus as it may be a long wait for the furry tailed ******* to show themselves!

Be grateful if anyone uses either of these with red filter and if they are any good?

Need a range of about 40 yrds +, but the ability of a bright adjustable light would be good.

Just using a "tactical type" small light at the mo and all i can see is the reflection of the rabbits eyes at 30 yrds + and it's really not good enough to get a good head shot.

Thanks in advance

Hi mate,

I've got a Deben tracer max. It's superb for bunnies. It's got the red filter feature (buy filter separately) and a decent longevity. The battery's quite small and fits well in either a bum-bag or a backpack. Plus it can clip onto a scope...

He only needs 40 yards or so - and for it to have a dimmer.

my lightforce has a dimmer and the lightforce will give the option of a longer beam in the future
