Hi Bandit man, i Used to own a fabarm ellegi and it would cycle 28g carts no problems. Do you keep it clean as this is a must with semi auto's. There are two holes in the barrel that the gas passes through to cycle the next cart make sure these are not blocked.

Steve

hi steve just checked it there is no holes for gas to pass through i presume it's just recoil through the spring .

Check out the exploded view on this site http://www.ada.ru/guns/exploded/fabarm_auto/fabarm_auto.htm The holes are inbetween the barrel and the tube that is on the bottom of the barrel that holds it onto the action. There are two of them and they may be hard to see if they are blocked, i used to clean mine with a pipecleaner.
