  3. Hi All, Does anyone know of a clay shoot that is taking place bank holiday monday at Kelston near Bath. I'm sure I've seen this advertised somewhere but now I cant seem to find any info. Steve
  4. Thanks Mark, Pleasure to meet you. Took the gun out today and got 7 pigeons and 2 crows, Would have liked a few more but they were few and far between. Steve
  5. I would like to buy this pm sent Steve
  6. Good on him, trouble is with a fair chunk of metal missing from the barrels the gun will feel different and swing faster. You may find that you prefere the new handling of the gun but one things for sure it wont shoot the same as it used to. If the cost to chop the barrels down is not too bad you may aswell get it done then compare patterns with a 28/30 inch on a pattern plate. Steve
  7. I tend to stick to my own gun but on the odd occasion I have borrowed someones gun I have done so on the understanding that if I bend it I mend it. I would be asking for a new set of barrels (if they are still avalible) or a replacement gun of the same standard. 24 inch IMO would be a good wall hanger. Steve
  8. My uncle bought one two years back, It gets used every week either clay bashing or rough shooting and to date has not missed a beat. Steve
  9. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has any info about an open shoot that is on tomorrow by the village of Marksbury on the A39 south of Bristol. I'm planning on going but not sure what time the shooting starts. Steve

  12. I used to shoot at Bristol clay shooting but thought that there was a problem with the kingswood shoot at the moment. I shot at the valley last weekend, nice layout but the tower is bloody addictive. Steve
  13. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows of any straw baler shoots in the bristol area. My local shoots follow the 28 day rule and seem to fall on the same weekend. Steve
  14. I'm gutted, wish I lived closer. Its a shame this sort of thing never happens in the bristol area Steve
  15. Bought mine 2 weeks ago, bit painfull on the wallet but i'm well pleased with it . Steve
  16. Just goes to show there are some decent people out there Steve
  17. Thanks for the heads up, I'm looking for a 12g as I bulk buy carts with some mates I didn't notice a difference between the wood and the synthetic but I do like the way you can adjust the stock on the synthetic models. Steve
  18. Hi all, Just a quick update. I've now had the oppertunity to try a couple of cynergy's out the first was early composite model with 2 3/4 chambers 30 inch barrels and the second had a wooden stock with 30 inch barrels. Both guns IMO handled good and now all i need to do is find one thats cheaper than a grand so if anyone knows of one for sale please let me know. Steve
  19. A bit harsh IMO, There are plenty of other items that will be in the house that wont be locked away that are more than capable of causing serious injury or death. I agree with other post's try and find somewhere that the FEO is happy for your friend to store his gun. Steve
  20. Thanks EE for the reply, I'm planning on trying one out in the next week. Steve
  21. Hello All, Last weekend I was out shooting some clays and got chatting to a bloke who told me that his mate had just bought a Browning Cynergy. According to his friend the Cynergy has a lot less recoil than the O/U he had before. At present I'm shooting an auto due to health problems that are aggrivated by recoil but would love to go back to an O/U. I have tried 21g carts before with an O/U and although the recoil was ok my shooting went down hill and so I went back to 28g carts with the auto. So I was wondering if anyone else has noticed reduced recoil with the Cynergy? Steve
  22. Yep spot on thanks for a good deal Steve
  23. I bought mine last monday, Got it second hand for 200 quid. Stripped it down when I got home and was pleased to find it had seen little use Its good that you can adjust them to your fit by using the supplied shims. I took it out today clay bashing and was pleased with the way it handled, I did have 2 jams but I'm fairly sure this was down to the carts I was using as when I stripped it apart to clean it I was shocked at how dirty it was. This was confirmed by a phonecall to a mate who was also using the same carts and said he has never seen his u/o so filthy :o
