covlocks
I have an old house and the walls are banana flat. Resolved the problem by bolting the cabinet to the wall, which left the obvious gap, I then filled the gap with a cement mix. It was commented on, however I pointed out how I remove bolted-in safes, that weigh many times more than a thin walled gun cabinet. The arguement was accepted with no further questions. If someone is coming into your house, and they are after your guns, they will come armed with a whole lot more that a couple a hacksaw blades and a screwdriver. Being bolted to the wall or floor will be a mere inconvenience. If they only have a hacksaw blade and a screwdriver, and your bolts are in the wall correctly, the cabinet aint moving. Lez325
Mines a foot from the floor too- I made a box for it to stand on so it clears the skirting board-& take the weight- I used 6 x M10 bolts for mine and 2 x m10 for the ammo safe FEO had no problem with the instalation here- Les Edited April 30, 2009 by Lez325
