Salopian
Bloody good shoot. I really enjoyed it there last week. Hope 'salop sniper' doesn't shoot Salopians? Anyway Telford isn't Shropshire, it's more Greater Manchester Liverpool WestMidlands
Salop Matt
Good job I was born in shrewsbury then shame it wasnt wales, ireland or yourkshire. So where in county do you reside ?
Salopian
Nova Porteous, where the three fishes are on the coat of arms. Not far from the Pulestone Cross. I think they do a bloody good job at Rodbaston. If you ask the bloke that runs it, nothing seems like too much trouble. I like that crosser on stand 3, so satisfying to hit it and know that it can be hit.Surprisingly there are a lot of England and Wales shooters turn up there for a midweek dose of training.Very friendly staff. Salop Matt
Yep theres a coach on site with a stand soley to for people to learn on ! He has all the kit and a range of guns to suit all. Pete is the chap who runs it and a great guy he is to, iv known and been shooting with him now for a while. Also a BASC coach / instrucor and rep ! And yes wednesdays only . Stand 3 is a good stand and everyweek i have differnt results on it, first time i shot it i had 7-8 but last week ony 3 ! Must be me being silly and stopping the gun again. Stand 5 is my favorite with 6 normally being my worst. Well untill i moved out of my parents last september i lived in lilleshall so fairly local Wont be there this week as am on call for work  although its much needed money
neil smith
Can you use semi-auto's there ? N
Salop Matt
Yes aslong as your safe with it and only use 2 carts ( no loading 3 in ) ! There were a couple a few weeks ago that had to be taken to one side and have the errors of there ways pointed out which did the trick.
neil smith
I wouldn't dream of loading more than two  I dont live too far away & was thinking of coming along & bringing a mate with me. hope to make it soon. N

neil smith
Went to Rodbaston this evening, £12 for 50 birds & had a good time even though I didn't do very well. Met some friendly faces who I used to work with a few years ago who were at the shoot, which was a bonus. Still fibre wads only. I will be there again next week & I think I might take the pump gun just for a bit of sport N
DSPUK
I know that Pete bloke who runs it - saw him at Catton Hall last Monday - I think he needs to coach himself from what I saw of his shooting - -- Must be that old Miroku he shoots - ask him about it and he will tell you the barrels are bent. Salop Matt
Pete is indeed a very good shot and has shot at a very high standard from what am told ! Iv spent a fair bit of time shooting clays under his watchfull eye and hes put me right on several occasions. A top bloke and also well known in BASC. I also work on the same site as him. I to will be shooting there next wednesday along with silver pigeon, her dad and my dad. From speaking to my dad there was a bloke there last week shooting very well with a pump ! Also look out for the curryed pork scratchings that were there last year ......... they were stunning.
