Epic Fail Posted May 8, 2009 Report Share Posted May 8, 2009 (edited) Re posted this in (bullets Cartrages and reloading) just starting out and i am not sure what kind of ammo to use :s for clays i have a 12g Midland semi auto 3 shot and for rough shooting i have a 12g Ugartechea S/S what would be the best cartradges to use for clays and also the cheapest ? MC Posted May 8, 2009 Report Share Posted May 8, 2009 Eley firsts are probably the best "Cheap" cartridges really for roughshooting you want shot size no.6 and for clays you want 7.5's or 8's I am not sure if eley firsts are available in 6's but you won't go wrong with any really. They all work. I would avoid D & J's and anything else that is really cheap, expect to pay around £130 a 1000 for Eley firsts. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sometimes Posted May 8, 2009 Report Share Posted May 8, 2009 (edited) Fiocchi Top 1 28g Fibre 71/2, 8 & 9 £135 per 1000 last time i bought some Fiocchi Top 1 28g Plas 71/2, 8 & 9 £130 per 1000 Very good cartridge for the price & low on recoil.
