moving to oxford

Hi all I am moving to oxford shortly starting a new job at RAF Benson I was just wondering if there is any good shooting around that area.

I lived down there for a couple of years. There are lots of woodpigeons to shoot, but permission was hard to come by. I did manage to get permission on one farm though. There are commercial woodpigeon guides operating in that area, for a price & I understand that there is a Woodpigeon Club based at Banbury. I tried to contact the Banbury Club without success.

thanks that is good to know do you know if there is any foxes in the area. I like a crack at them?

I lived at Bicester and there were foxes about and loads of Muntjac.

I have niver even seen a muntjak up hear in scotland.

i have lived in oxford for 40 yaers mate

and there is loads of shooting to be had but like Malc says getting permission hard

Just been on that google earth there look's like there's a lot of crops planted around RAF Benson camp. Must be pigeons about that area I'll just knok on the farmers doors when I get down there.
