LeeinVA
I know many like a dry rub, and i do both, however i try to make my own sauces, but in a Pinch i use ' Sweet baby rays' BBQ sauce.. If y'all can get get the stuff do it!! The only sauce many around here will ever use.. I did learn a trick to raising the taste a bit, with an interesting texture enhancement too? The trick is using extra crunchy peanut butter? Put the PB in the sauce pan and melt it, then stir in your sauce (mix to taste).. My god it is fantastic Its no BS either... I used that mixture on my ribs this past weekend? 6 racks and two had the special sauce, and they were the first to go..
jmooney
That's good to know Lee. I'm sure you can guess but it's not exactly easy to find good BBQ on this side of the Mason-Dixon.

There actually used to be a small local place owned by the family of a lad I went to school with but they only lasted a few year unfortunately. It was GOOOOD. About all we have now is the Famous Dave's chain which isn't bad but I've had better.
