Problem...Beretta ejector

Okay here is the back ground; I have a Beretta silver pigeon S and got it about 4 months ago and it was new when i got it. I have put 1500-2000 carts through it in this time. Now, we have just got a clay trap and i have got though maybe 70 carts in a quick session, on at least 4 occasions the ejector failed. It did NOT do that thing where it tries an the casing can't get out and it only gets half way. It did not even try to eject the carts at all not even the click of the mechanism. Now the last time i used it propperly was on a simulated game day and on the last drive i put about 100-150 through it in the space of maybe 10-20 mins and, needless to say, the gun was very hot, i feel this may have been the cause of my problem and something was bent or twisted in the heat, does these seem like a possible explanation to anyone? Hope you can help me with it.

i doubt you have bent anything as they are nearly indistructable. my guess would be a worn through spring going off what you say. pop out the ejector and the spring will come out of the hole under the pin.( if you look under the face of the ejector you will see the top of the pin) these wear on one side usually and can wear through and break up. you wont get any damage anywhere and odd miss ejects like your describing. springs are cheap and easy to replace. 2mins. take a look.
