124cc
I have a E Rizzini sidepalte and it has a tendancy on occasion to eject the unfired barrel cartridge when opened after a single shot.I've studied the mechanism and can't see anything obviously damaged. The problem is i'am struggling to fully understand how it works and hence why it isn't.There isn't any sign of adjustment so suspect it is wear related.Anyone had similar problem and point to poss cause/solution.Many thanks
MC
It is wear related, it is soft springs and a slack cocking rod that is the problem. When the gun is fired the cocking rod moves forward and pushes the ejector sear up to engage the ejector. as the gun is fairly old and probably well used the inertia from the single shot is making the other cocking rod move and engage the other ejector sear. It is a fairly simple job to fix but you will need several parts and that may be the sticking point. Google Pegagsus Firearms as they use to stock Rizzini spares. YorkshirePurdey
I had the same problem, it kept going into the gunsmith, but even after being "FIXED" a couple of times it still did it!
