Windy
Popped over to see the local Keeper this afternoon. Looks after two big farms where I live. Really nice chap and very friendly. Discussed pigeon shooting opportunities and he said no problem, will sort me out with some shooting closer to harvest. Didnt seem too bothered by pigeon action at the moment. Didnt want to be pushy, he said keep an eye on the fields and give him a call nearer harvest. He has suggested other local farmers who might appreciate some help now (peas). Suppose its a good start. Dead-Eyed Duck
Nope, you're wrong.... That's a brilliant start. Ask the keeper if there are any jobs that you can help him out with. Don
Windy
Yup might do. I work shifts so have time off during the week. We had a good natter about country issues, were chatting for almost an hour. Through my work I'm already helping out the estate by patrolling around some fields that have suffered greatly from illegal metal detecting, being an area that is thought to contain an ancient Saxon palace as well as a Roman villa. I think the Keeper is a fella who is partial to a blokey chat, so might pop round for a brew now and again.
