wymberley
Hi, All, Can anyone help in identifying the rifle a mate has been given? Under-lever .22 BSA, Ser. No. RH 14048. There is no model name given on the gun. The loading port is about 1" square which opens laterally and exposes a bright curved slide. I don't think it's very old judging by the use of Allen screws. The maker is identified by BSA Guns (Ithink this did vary) with the usual BSA motif. Any help would be welcome, even a search reference. Many thanks

Egg
Was it a Superstar by any chance? Not a bad springer IIRC. Edited June 16, 2009 by Egg
wymberley
Hi, Egg, Yep. It was in an awful state, circumstances were that he couldn't refuse it. After the chap who gave it had left we fell about laughing and looking for a dustbin. However, it came with an equally rusty tin which we had to smash open to get to the pellets. Fired a few shots, not well supported and the group surprised us. Then we looked at the penetration (22) which wiped the smile off our faces completely. It's now up for re-furb.
