deny essex Posted June 10, 2009 Report Share Posted June 10, 2009 Seeing as its almost "laid" crop time , just thought i would mention to thoose new to the fold if you use dogs to retrieve, be very wary of the barley spears on the seed head, they can stick in dogs eyes, ears, feet and un-mentionable places resulting in pain and possible infection as well as costly vet bills.
