stuey
Collect my lemon Working Cocker Bitch in about 4 weeks time. I have been reading the Joe Irving book, but wondering if anyone can recommend any DVD's on the subject. My wife wont read the book, but I'm hoping she would pay attention to the basics if its on DVD. Using the search iHave found the following mentioned and wondering what peoples thoughts are? My cocker will be used on my syndicate shoot which runs on a walk one shoot one basis. Kirkham Gun Dogs Box Set - Roger Harrison - £45.00 Spaniel Training Masterclass with Edward Martin - £100ish Simon Tyes - ww.hawcroftgundogs.co.uk - £100ish What are peoples thoughts? jmooney
Check out Sporting Scene UK. They put out the masterclass with Edward Martin. They have a Cocker Training Masterclass series. I've watched most of it and all of the spaniel on and liked them a lot. The cocker one might be better as it's tailored to the personality and traits of the little fellows. gdunc
I've got most of the training dvds out there and my current reccomendation, which I only came by more recently, is for Mark and Carl Colclough's Cocker training from Paul French. Gives a number of good points (as they all do) but overall I liked this one the best. Worth watching a few times over as you glean more info every time. Erlandson's 'The Springer Spaniel' is a similarly top choice in the book department (ignore the specific title it's basically a spaniel training book)
