lasbrisas
Folks, I am fairly new to shooting with an air rifle and have a CO2 powered rifle that takes 2 12g cartridges. The problem I have is that the rifle stops firing when they are empty and I am able to unscrew the endcap to remove them. The first time I changed them the end cap blew off with some force and also ejected the 2 spent cartridges. Is there a way of expelling the pressure as I understood that if you can unscrew the cap it should be ok. The manual says that as you unscrew it there is a small hole to let out any remaining pressure.
Clubshot
Safest was is to Shoot it Off - without pellets Saves getting a cold blast of CO2 Happens When I use CO2 Bulbs in PP Competitions As Need Fresh ones for Seperate Rounds / Layouts BOB/R
john.r
you should try just loosing the end cap off slightly untill it stops hissing then slacken it right off john
lasbrisas
Thanks for the comments, I guess practice makes perfect, on loosening the end cap I didn't hear any gas escaping and the fact that I could undo it led me to believe it was ok to open.
