J@mes
you can only have one calibre for each slot on your FAC, so you would need to sell your current gun and then buy a new one. you couldn't own both
Edward
you could say one was for vermin control during the day and the other is "to be fitted" with NV for use at night. And then when they ask you why havent you got the NV on it you just say you cant quite afford it
lineshooter
You may be able to do this if you have different actions ie 1bolt action and 1 semi auto, I have seen this where someone hunts with a bolt action but taget shoots with a 10-22, it all depends on how "jobs worth" your licensing authority is I suppose. celtic invader
Reading your post it looks as though you are asking if you can just add a further .22 rim fire or do you have to get permission first. If I have read it correctly - you must ask for permission and get a grant by way of a variation before you can do anything. Once your FAC has been 'varied’, you can do exactly what the variation allows (and no more). If you are saying - Can I get permission for more than one .22 rim fire. This will depend upon your reason / needs and the argument you put forward on your application for variation - but given the right set of circumstances the answer would be yes.
