SORRY IF THIS HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE OR IF ITS IN THE WRONG SECTION

[mods please move if in wrong section.]

while gutting some rabbits the other night one of them had a problem with its liver instead of looking nice and smooth/shiney it was all rough looking and covered in white spots the rabbit seemed to be healthy running in field before i shot it .

anyone got any ideas what was wrong ??.

another had long lines of a yellow fatty looking substance in a few places under the skin but on top of meat same again any ideas what this was ??.

needless to say both got left in headge row for mr fox

the liver thing is flukes - the meat should still be fine for consumption as long as it's cooked properly (but discard the liver)

the fatty deposits were indeed fatty deposits by the sound of it and the rabbit is absolutely fine.
