ziplex
Little Springer has this on her foot, i've applied a poltice and it drew a fair bit of puss out of it last night but this morning it's back and annoying her obviously. I give it a gentle squeeze earlier and got a small ammount of clear fluid out of it, question is to give it a good pinch or leave alone? I want to lance it as she won't leave it alone! mikee
my old dog used to get a lot of those after being in reed beds in the winter when all the stems were dead and sharp, i took her to the vet the first couple of times but never bothered after that just used to bathe in salt water a few times each day and they soon cleared up mikee
ziplex
Looks like grass seed or barley thats gone nasty... Trip to the Vets and some anti biotics :yp: Looks like you were right gary, daughter took her to the vets this afternoon as the infection seemed to be travelling up her foot, vet squeezed a good ammount of puss out of it, applied some zinc type cream and bandaged it up. I'll be taking her back in the morning in the hope it may of come out, if not she'll have to have it cut open in the hope they can locate it. We've had Springers for years and never had a problem with grass seeds before, (we do keep the fur between their toes short in the main). The grass on the Down where they go has recently been cut so I imagine that may well of been the cause. Still, she is now supporting a blue and black camo' bandage and appears happy enough and quite proud of it
