Kron
I keep hearing the term suitable home on dog breeders websites and was wondering what do you actually mean by this? The reason I ask is I am looking forward to getting a dog in the future and if suitable home is deep rural with 2+ acres of garden and a job that will let the dog accompany me all day then I can't provide it. At the moment anyway. What I can provide is a suburban house with an average sized garden some decent areas of open space within walking distance and a good caring home with a couple who grew up with dogs (as simple pets not worked at all). To be honest I see the dog as being a companion for me whilst the wife is looking after her horse. Just wondering what the views were? pyr8
think in some cases it,s the seller trying to make themselfs look good.how many sellers actually visit the buyer to vet there homes.
Tug
A lot of commercial breeders look for only one thing, money... Same goes for a few people who have "pedigree" show-type dogs and breed them to sell puppies. If you are after a dog, even a gun dog then get a rescue. There are plenty of specialist rescue organisations, even for working dogs so look around...
