Ferretboy111 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 Ahoy hoy, Ive had my cz american 527 for ages now, but have completely forgotten what the barrel twist is, as i know the varmint is different. Any ideas? Further more, just wanted to know what people put through their cz american for good groupng ie: Ammo. Ive only ever shot 50, and 55grn out of it and wouldnt mind to get tighter groups and consistancy. What are peoples thoughts? Stick with 55grn or go higher. Mr_Logic Posted August 7, 2009 Report Share Posted August 7, 2009 Yes that's right. The 1:12 generally won't shoot anything over 55, though occasionally a 62 might work. If the 55 is working for you, you probably won't improve so I would leave. I shoot a 50gr blitzking over 24.5gr N130 in mine, gives about 3350 fps. I bought some 40grn hornady accutip jobbies the other day, grouped them yesterday at about an inch and a half at 200 yards.
