Pigeon-Detective
Hi, My gun was in its gun bag and it slipped and landed on the laminate floor last week, I didnt think anything of it, 2 days later I was perched on a fence post cross hairs clamped on the rabbits temple.. well lets just say I might of well thrown a stone at the little **** So as i tried to set up the sights I ended up winding the sights as far as it would wind to the left and it is still 3inch to the right, I have taken off the sights and put them back on, but its just the same, I dont know what else to do, this is very frustrating so Any help would be greatly appreciated. bullet boy
Sights are very easy to knock of zero.Check theres no damage to the scope.Try zeroing them again, failure to get your desired shot placement,id then take them to a Gun Shop for a check over.I always say when in doubt let the Professionals sort it out. George1990
Ooh sounds iffy. You could try shimming the scope over by using some film from a camera in the mounts before you part with cash at the gun shop. But I imagine the scope may be damaged
Beardo
my cz452 disappeared out of the window of the frontera a while back. same problem - wouldn't then zero. tried shimming it, but it still wouldn't move enough. spoke to scope importer (Deben - it was a Hawke), they told me to hold it flat and rotate it to see if it was slightly bent. It was - easy to tell direction in my case as there was a scratch on the side of impact. it then took two of us to bend it back! on to hold steady and the other to gently lean on it to bend it a bit. deben actually said to hit it with a phone directory or rubber mallet. it zeros fine now. it's a last resort, but it was either do that or replace it.
