badsworth
Help!!!! I am trying to upload a small pic to use as my avatar. The help pages tell me that .jpg under 20Kb is acceptable, but each time I try I get a message that tells me I am not allowed to use a file of that type. What can I do? The help pages tell me that .bmp is NOT acceptable, but most folks seem to have them. I am confused! Badsworth
stupidsalmon
Same happened with me with .jpegs, i then used photobucket and copied the URL to the avatar box. Didnt work either. Any suggestions?

badsworth
I did it in the end by converting the .jpg to a .gif file - which the Help pages say is not an acceptable format. Moderators - please sort this out. We need some better advice. (Great forum though!) Badsworth
ernyha
Moderators - please sort this out. We need some better advice. :( No use asking me mate, I know less about computers than most of you. I will say though that if I managed to add an avatar , it can't be rocket science.
