codling99
You're not the first person I have heard say that about hares' eyes, and I agree absolutely. I thought exactly that when I was peering through the scope on my .22-250, watching a hare eat emerging sugar beet earlier this year. I unloaded the rifle and walked off, leaving the hare untouched. I haven't shot another one since (I used to shoot about 80-100 per year). Rabbits I detest and would gladly eradicate, but I think hares are graceful and charming animals, and should be tolerated. strange, dont like badgers but likes hares, goes to show everyones different and shoots things for different reasons, not allways the walt disney syndrome. i personally dont see many hare s let alone shoot them, see loads of badgers but cant shoot them, rabbit s and foxes i shoot when i see them. :look:
Evil Elvis
:look: Its all down to common sense and abundance.......i have local farms with one or 2 and they get left, on some of the farms i shoot there are as many hares as rabbits and the farmers want them gone. Most of the ones i shoot end up as snake food, my father in law eats a few.

Ferretboy111
I get £2-£3 each, mine will take as many as ive got, but the price doesnt reach anything amazing untill getting onto november when they are more difficult to shoot and retrieve. Wont be shooting many this year as shot them hard last year. Alex
