I totally sympathise with you, but you have to look at your location (NI) it has a wee bit more history than any other place in the UK mainland you care to mention, i was over in omagh with my family staying at my brothers last year and his boss holds a few rifles, and he told me then what he had to go through to get his ticket 15 years ago.

I wish you well, and a call to your local BASC representative ( even though you are not member ) to explain what you need help with, may just bear fruit.

bob.

If you do have to go rimfire then 22 WMR is the only man for the job, but as above centrefire is the right way to go...

hi i am thinking about getting a rim fire what do you think is good rim fire to get? 1.7 or 22. and what make. i have about £300. and what size scope would you go for. for fox shooting

Depends what your land is covered for

.22 or .17 is ok but some police forces want .222 minimum for fox

Let me know when you decide i can get what ever you need at Good trade prices
