Teal
Managed to shoot just over 70 corvids (mix of carrions, rocks and jackdaws) in between 6 and 9.30 this morning for 115 cartridges. Missed some easy ones but shot a couple of corkers. Going to try and whack them again tommorow. Will let you know how I get on. They were shot over gamecrop - just emerging which was being damaged. Got up at six and started with no decoys or hide, just tucked into a hedge in normal clothes with a balaclava, shooting 20bore silver pigeon. I probably would have shot over 100 if I had stayed for the full day, but I had other commitments. Amazing how productive a few hours in the early morning can be though. Setting up early was essential, the hedge which I was backed into is a usual flightline for them. What time are the rest of you heading out to get your bags, with the heat the way it is I imagine they'll try and avoid feeding around midday. Pike
Good one, I have just got back from a friends' dairy farm in Wincanton and have been giving the young crows some stick as they flew in to the sillage clamp.
